As current division 1 soccer players, Collegiate Skills was an idea we had always had in the back of our heads as something that the soccer world in America would truly benefit from. Growing up seeing trainers on social media make up drills and training on the fly without the proper preparation, research, and knowledge we became frustrated with how these training “gurus” were so easily able to take advantage of young parents that were just looking to give their children an hour of fun, yet technical training.

As we started to notice more of these coaches popping up on our social media feeds and even into our local communities, we started dreaming up solutions about how we could play a role in helping young players like ourselves see a pathway into the college game and develop into impactful young men and women. We began doing local coaching 1on1 and small group sessions within our local communities but quickly outgrew the amount of time our small group had available to mentor these young players to boost their development.

Thus, the idea for Collegiate Skills was born. A way to connect youth players, with local college players and coaches. Who can better prepare the youth for college and overall technical development, better than those that are currently part of the system? By bringing these talented athletes together and connecting them with youth players in their local community, it would be possible to instantly connect mentors at a high level of the game, with those seeking to reach the same heights. 

Through a centralized platform we are able to provide our players with a proven development philosophy used by one of the most successful Premier League academies, that places technical development ahead of everything. Additionally, with our in house training resources and preparation plans we make sure that all our coaches are well prepared for each training session, regardless of player ability. Lastly, through our connections in the college soccer recruitment world, we can even help you our your child find roster spots from JUCO to NCAA Division 1.

While we are just getting started we are looking forward to creating a positive impact upon the local communities we serve, while we live out our mission to provide youth players the development and mentorship it takes to reach their dreams.
